Mud~ness on the World Wide Web

History

Welcome to Mud~ness Racing. We appreciate your support. Mud~ness Off Road Racing has been actively involved in truck racing, and motorsports for the last 20 years. It started back in the early 80's, when Bill Wirth, a New York construction contractor, purchased a Ford E-350 4x4 QuadraVan. Bill used his QuadraVan for work and off road family fun on the weekends. In 1985 Bill entered his QuadraVan in a mud bog contest for USA Motorsports, winning the event sparked it all. As time went on, Bill began doing tug-off wars with USA Motorsports, and local mud bogging events.  By the early 90's Bill had decided to build a 1985 Ford Ranger Pro Truck, called Mud~ness. Bouncing back and forth from organizations for a few years, Bill decided to  race for a local organization called North America Mud Racing. North America Mud Racing had been around for years, and they offered a driver of the year championship. In 1998 Bill had won the Championship.
